AAV packaging plasmid expressing AAV2 Rep protein and AAV8-2-ESGLSQS capsid protein
AAV8-2-ESGLSQS is a variation (Q587G588Q589R590-G-ESGLSQS-AQAAQ594) of AAV8 capsid. AAV8 capsids can change and improve their efficiency and specificity compared to their wild type variants and to AAV2, making these insertion sites attractive for the generation of novel targeted vectors in these serotypes.
