AAV variant 5.3 retained significantly enhanced T cell transduction over that of AAV6, when tested in neuronal cell types at a low MOI, this variant outperformed the other tested variant and wild-type serotypes, indicating a potentially unique property of this capsid for transduction of cells derived from neuronal tissue
