pAAV R100
AAV packaging plasmid expressing AAV2 Rep protein and AAV R100 capsid protein
AAV R100 is a variation (10 amino acid peptide insertion at residue 588 and a point mutation in VP1(P34A)) of AAV2 capsid. Employed directed evolution in nonhuman primates (NHP) to discover an AAV variant (R100) for intravitreal treatment of multiple target cells in the primate retina. R100 demonstrated superior transduction of human retinal cells compared to wildtype AAV.
