Adeno-associated Viral Vector (AAV) capsid AAV9.HR in AAV2Rep expression construct.
Introduction
AAV9.HR is a variant of AAV9 capsid, which retains AAV9’s capability to traverse the blood-brain barrier, transduce neurons and has the advantage of mitigating potential off-target effects in peripheral tissues compared to AAV9.
These results demonstrate that the AAV9.HR capsid mutant is suitable for vector development to target CNS diseases.
